Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to register?

Yes, please! Covid restrictions are being lifted but there may still be a limit to outdoor gatherings in June. We want to make sure we stay under any limits. Some classes also require equipment... and we want to provide a few refreshments! Please register by accepting the invite or messaging us on Facebook, emailing at epcl.info@shaw.ca, or calling 780-479-1035.

Are the classes Kid friendly?

Yes! Kids will probably especially enjoy the hooping (hula hoop) class. Kids are welcome to join in on the activity or play nearby. All ages and babies are welcome. There's lots of space to spread out so you can bring blankets and toys or strollers.

Do I need a yoga mat?

If you have your own mat, please bring it for the yoga class or for stretching at classes if you'd like. If you don't have a mat but would like to attend the yoga class, please let us know!

What is hoop fitness?

Its hula hooping with a purpose! Dance and movement exercises for a workout. Hoops will be provided and we ask that you pre-register so that we can ensure there are enough hoops.

What is the ParticipACTION App?

This free app can be used throughout the challenge in June to track your physical activity. The app also offers fitness tips and activity tracking for everyday use as well. More app info can be found here.

Where can I find out more about ParticipACTION?

You may remember Hal and Joanne offering ways to "keep fit and have fun" in the old Body Break commercials! ParticipACTION has been encouraging Canadians to stay active since 1971. You can find their website and initiatives here.
